1. Free trial
Paid plans may include a free trial, currently 7 days. You are not charged during the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically to a paid subscription and your payment method is charged at the price shown when you signed up. You can cancel at any point during the trial from Settings, and you will not be charged. A trial is generally available only once per user per plan and may not be offered in every region or store.
2. Billing and renewal
Subscriptions are sold monthly or annually and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. The price, billing period, currency and any applicable tax are shown before you confirm the purchase. Web purchases are sold and processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as our authorised reseller and merchant of record — Paddle appears on your statement and issues your receipt. Mobile purchases are sold by the Apple App Store or Google Play.
3. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time and for any reason. For a web subscription, cancel from Settings in your SnapBooks account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep full access until then. We do not charge a cancellation fee. For a subscription bought in the mobile app, cancel through your Apple or Google account subscription settings — cancelling in the app store is the only way to stop a store-billed renewal. After cancellation your data remains in your account, subject to the retention periods in our Privacy Policy.
4. Refunds on web subscriptions
If something has gone wrong, contact us and we will put it right. We will refund a web subscription payment where the service was unavailable or materially not as described, where you were charged after cancelling, where a renewal was charged in error or duplicated, or where you were charged following a trial you had already cancelled. Requests made within 14 days of a charge are honoured as a matter of course. Beyond that we consider each request on its merits, and we take into account whether the subscription period has been used. Refunds are issued to the original payment method by Paddle, normally within 5-10 business days of approval, and cancel access to paid features from the date of the refund.
5. Refunds on mobile subscriptions
SnapBooks cannot refund a purchase made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, because we are not the seller of record for those transactions and never receive your payment. Refunds for mobile purchases are requested directly from the store: through reportaproblem.apple.com for Apple, or Google Play's order history for Google. Their refund windows and policies apply. If a store declines your request and you believe the charge was our error, contact us and we will help where we can.
6. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this Policy limits rights you have under the law of your country. Consumers in the UK and EU normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. Where you ask for immediate access to a digital service and acknowledge that you lose the withdrawal right once it begins, that right may not apply — but we will still apply Section 4 above, which is at least as generous in the cases it covers.
7. How to request a refund
Email snapbookocr@gmail.com or snapbooks@deosai.net with the subject 'Refund request - SnapBooks'. Include the email address on the account and the date and amount of the charge; a Paddle transaction or invoice number helps us act faster. We aim to acknowledge every request within 2 business days and to decide within 5. If we decline, we will tell you why. Paddle can also be contacted directly about a web charge through the support link on the receipt it sent you.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy and will post the revised version with a new updated date. Changes do not affect a refund request already submitted. Questions about billing, cancellation or refunds may be sent to snapbookocr@gmail.com or snapbooks@deosai.net. The service website is https://snapbooks.deosai.net.
